The stage designer and scenographer Larissa Kramarek stages dresses from the S-MAK collection alongside contemporary embroideries from Vorarlberg. In the installation about layers, she interweaves video, audio, and sculptural elements to open multiple perspectives on social norms. Her work invites the audience to explore, in a sensual and reflective way, the relationship between body, fashion, and identity.

Kramarek focuses on softening the standards imposed on standardized bodies and conventional ideals of beauty.

“I sometimes forget that I have a body through which I am perceived, because I simply am. I don’t move through the world observing my body from the outside; my body is the means through which I exist in the world.”

La escenógrafa y diseñadora escénica Larissa Kramarek pone en escena vestidos de la colección del S-MAK junto con bordados contemporáneos de Vorarlberg. En la instalación about layers, entrelaza elementos de video, audio y escultura para generar diversas perspectivas sobre las normas sociales. Su trabajo invita al público a explorar, de manera sensual y reflexiva, la relación entre cuerpo, moda e identidad.

Kramarek centra su investigación en suavizar los estándares que se imponen sobre los cuerpos estandarizados y los ideales tradicionales de belleza.

“A veces olvido que tengo un cuerpo a través del cual soy percibida, porque simplemente soy. No me muevo por el mundo observando mi cuerpo desde afuera; mi cuerpo es el medio para estar en el mundo.”
